Resize Text and Text Box

Standard Text Mode

Text mode determines how text and text box interact with each other. There are three options to resize the text box by default. Here is a video walkthrough of the default text mode:

Standard Text Mode from Marpipe on Vimeo

  1. Auto Width & Height: The text box size is auto determined by the width and height of the text asset. You cannot adjust the text box size manually.
  2. Auto Height: You can set the font size and the width of the box. The text content expands the height of the bounding box as it changes.

To change the text box width, select the text asset and drag the circular handles left and right. 3. Auto Width: You can set the font size and the height of the box and then the text content expands the width of the bounding box as it changes.

Auto Size Mode

In the auto size text mode, the text size will change automatically based on the text box size. You are able to resize the text box freely. The text size input will be deactivated when auto size is on.

Here is a video walkthrough of the auto size text:

Text Wrapping

When the text wrapping is on, the text assets will ignore the original line break and words will break to the next line when reaching the edge of the text box. In this mode, there are two options to resize the text box:

  1. Auto Height: You can set the font size and the width of the box. The text content expands the height of the bounding box as it changes.

To change the text box width, select the text asset and drag the circular handles left and right. 2. Fixed Size: You can set the width and height of the text box. The text box size will not change when swapping the different text variants in.
