# Publishing Catalog Creative to Meta Ads

Step-by-step process on how to upload your creative treatments and assign them to ads of your choice

The following article discusses the steps to getting a Marpipe feed containing creative treatments to Meta. This is different from just connecting a standard feed. To just connect a standard feed, click [here](https://help.marpipe.com/en/articles/8594065-connect-marpipe-to-a-meta-catalog).

## Step 1. Create an output feed

If you already have an output feed for Meta, you do not need to create a new one. You only need to create one output feed for your catalog. You can update and edit which creatives you want to push to Meta through this feed.

1. From the **Output Feeds** section, click _New Output Feed_  
2. Set the channel to Meta  
3. Set the mode to **Multi Treatment Mode**

## Step 2. Setup Treatments

If your creative treatments have already been added in, you do not need to add them in again.

In the new output feed you will need to create a treatment for each design or group of designs that you intend to use in ads.

1. Click **New Treatment**  
2. Select a design (or multiple if they are intended to go together for multiple product sets)  
3. Repeat steps until all treatments are setup  
4. Click **_Publish_** on the right-hand side once all treatments are set up

## Step 3. Connect to Meta Catalog

Once your feed is connected to your catalog, you do not need to reconnect it unless it is actively removed.

Copy paste the output feed URL into your Meta Catalog **OR** use the "Connected Catalog" feature in Marpipe to connect directly.

1. Click **Connected Catalogs** in your output feed  
2. Click "Upload to a Catalog"  
3. Select your business account  
4. Select a the catalog to upload your feed to  
5. Confirm your catalog upload  
6. You can then go to your catalog to confirm the feed is uploading

## Step 4. Create your ads

While your feed is uploading to the Meta catalog, go into Ads Manager to create your ads. Marpipe ads can be run on any campaign in your ad account, as long as it's set up to be a catalog ad. Some settings to look out for in your ad below:

- Under **Ad Setup**, make sure your format is set to either _Single Image or Video_ or _Carousel_ (preferred)  
- Under **Ad Creative**, turn off _Dynamic Media / Allow product video_  
- Make sure your creative options are set to _Single Image_, **not** **Slideshow**  
- Under Format Display Options, turn off _Show as collection_ (optional but recommended)  
- **Turn off **_all_** Advantage+ Creative Enhancements**  
- Make sure you select a **Product Set** of just the items you want to run on your ad

The rest of your ad and campaign can be filled out how you prefer to run it. **_Publish your ad before returning to Marpipe._**

## Step 5. Assign Ads

1. In your output feed page in Marpipe, Click **Assign Ads** on the right side

2. Select your ad account  
3. Select a campaign with ads that you want to run enriched treatments in  
4. Select your catalog ad  
5. Click add treatment  
6. Select the treatment you want to run on that particular ad

7. Repeat steps for all intended ads  
8. Click **_Save Changes_**

Your ad should now preview and deliver your treatments!

Note: The process of assigning a treatment to your ad via Marpipe (Step 5) counts as a creative edit to your ad, which will update it to the _Learning_ phase.**

If you wish to edit your treatment, you do not need to reassign the treatment. Just make and publish your edits and your ad will pick them up on the next catalog sync.
